Week 3: Creature

I am not surrounded by creatures everyday, which I consider myself fortunate, but when it comes to this weeks topic it is unfortunate.  I wish I would have had more time, because I think it could have been a lot more fun of a topic to shoot.  Originally I wanted to go find little creatures, I had insects in mind, but time feel short.  So Harley became my plan B.  She was incorporative with me at first but after awhile she got bored with me and chose to share her expressions with my by yawning.  Who knew a dogs yawn could be so appealing? or is it?

I feel the same way as Lynette!  Originally, when I first started thinking of this topic, I thought for sure I would be able to find some sort of insect to photograph (especially as mild as the weather had been before this week).  The most I had found, and contemplated, was a dead spider in a web outside~ I wasn't exactly excited about the prospect of photographing a dead spider and thought maybe I would catch a break and the warm sunshiney weather would return.  A cardinal, a flock of geese, something!  At the end of the day, I decided on one of the creatures that live with us, our sweet dog, Buddy.  He was very cooperative.  I actually lit him with my computer monitor which was interesting enough...or at least he thought so as he watched me with those penetrating eyes.  Makes me wonder what he thinks about our day to day life.  That little snout of his often prods my hand for quick scratches behind the ears and his favorite hangout is whatever room I happen to be in at the time.

Thanks for following along.  See you next week. :)
